When Repairs Stop Being Worth It
A roof gives plenty of warning before it fails. Rust creeping out from the fixings, sheets lifting at the edges after a southerly, a ceiling stain that comes back every wet week — these are the signs that patching has run its course.
At Gutterworx, we take on roof replacement across the Central Coast for homeowners in exactly that position. We strip the old sheets, check the battens and framing underneath, and fit a new roof using materials from suppliers who back them with a 20-year warranty.
Because we are on rooflines every day, we will usually look at the guttering at the same time rather than hanging new gutters off an old roof. Call 0415 876 558 for a free quote.

What a Replacement Involves
Every roof is different, but the job follows the same shape from start to finish.
- Inspection and quote — We get up on the roof and check the sheets, fixings, battens and flashings, and look at what is happening underneath them. You get a written quote and no obligation to go ahead with it.
- Stripping the old roof — The existing sheets and fasteners come off and go straight into a bin rather than onto your lawn. We work section by section so the house is never left open longer than it has to be.
- Repairs to the structure — Anything rotted or rusted in the battens and framing is fixed before the new roof goes on. Covering damaged timber is what turns a roof replacement into a repeat job.
- New sheets and flashings — The new roof goes on with matched flashings, ridge capping and fixings suited to a coastal setting. We finish by clearing the site and checking the ground for stray fixings.
